America's Champions Foundation Hosts November 2023 Poker Tournament Fundraiser

Tournament raises $20,000 to help Veterans and First Responders

On Veteran’s Day, Saturday, November 11 2023, Seminole Casino Coconut Creek hosted a highly successful charity poker tournament in the Coco Poker Room to benefit America’s Champions Foundation. The event was a remarkable fusion of excitement, community spirit, and charitable giving, raising an impressive $20,000 for the foundation.

“We are thankful that Seminole Gaming and Seminole Casino Coconut Creek partnered with us to create an amazing poker tournament where past and present service members, as well as supporters, could come together and further our mission on Veteran’s Day. This event perfectly blended Colby Covington’s two greatest passions – supporting America’s finest and competitive poker.”  -ACF CEO

The tournament began with registration at 9 AM, followed by the main event starting at 1 PM. With a $250 buy-in, the tournament attracted numerous participants eager to compete for a prize pool of $10,000. Adding to the excitement, Colby “Chaos” Covington, UFC star and President of America’s Champions Foundation, hosted and played in the tournament. Participants relished the unique opportunity to compete against Covington at the poker table.

In addition to the poker tournament, a VIP meet and greet with Colby Covington was held from 6 PM to 9 PM. Attendees purchased tickets for $150, which included a photo with Covington, or $200 for a photo and autograph. The meet and greet provided fans with a memorable experience while contributing further to the charity’s mission.

“We’re honored to host this inaugural charity poker tournament for such a great organization. America’s Champions Foundation is poised to do amazing things for America’s finest, and we are proud to be a part of that.” - Kelly Mautner, Director of Poker

The event successfully raised $20,000, which will directly support America’s Champions Foundation’s initiatives to enhance the lives of veterans, first responders, and the families of fallen heroes. The foundation is dedicated to providing vital resources and assistance to those who have selflessly served our nation.

The inaugural charity poker tournament was a resounding success, blending the thrill of poker with the noble cause of supporting America’s finest. We look forward to future events and continuing our mission to honor and empower those who protect our freedoms.

Fort Liberty, NC - [16 May, 2024] - America’s Champions Foundation (ACF) has extended a compassionate grant to Andy, an active duty service member stationed at Fort Liberty, North Carolina, who recently faced the heartbreaking loss of his son in a tragic vehicle accident. "Losing my son was something I never imagined going through. It has been a tough time for our family and we are grateful for the support of America’s Champions Foundation," said Andy. The emotional and financial burdens associated with such a devastating event have been further complicated by Andy’s military service, which has placed his family far from their immediate support network. To facilitate the presence of his family during this difficult period, Andy has had to arrange housing and flights for relatives traveling from as far away as Africa and Germany. Stephen, CEO of America’s Champions Foundation, expressed his heartfelt condolences, stating, "When I learned about this incident, I immediately knew that this was exactly the kind of situation ACF was founded for. Our deepest condolences go out to the family and we wish them happiness in abundance as they heal from this tragedy that no parent should ever have to face."
